In this modern era world, everyone uses the internet in daily life for many purposes. But, how will you react, if i tell you that you can only access only 4% information in internet from your computer or mobile devices.

NOTE:

The 4% internet has millions of information which we can access from computer or mobile devices from our home. This 4% internet is called Surface web or clearnet. So, out of 4% internet, where are the remaining 96% internet and what it contains?

Consider internet is like an entire ocean, the above sea level is just like surface web, which we can use them with the help of conventional search engines like  Google, Yahoo, Bing, wikipedia, etc...below the sea level [the deep sea] the remaining 96% internet is considered as Deep web or Dark web.

Sounds good right!

Before we jump into the topic ,it is important to learn and get some clear understanding about the difference between the Deep web and the Dark web.

Unlike Google [they were indexing every sites and information] deep
web is a non-indexable platform. There are un-imaginable things such
as military information, research document which you can't access,
because they are not indexable.

So, your normal browser won't help you to access the Deep web. May be you can access dark web with it for some time. But not for every time. [Will explain later]

Here are the main reasons, the deep web content has private  access, dynamic content and the contents were unlinked. We can't access this type of content because we don't have information about these type of data and without proper data nor without guesses, how do we find the data on the deep web.

What is Dark web?

We already know that, deep web covers rest of 96 % internet and dark web contains un-imaginable things. The dark web is also a place where you do illegal things like you can purchase drugs, weapon, downloading hacking and cracking softwares. Also you can adult videos, forum, read blog and research paper, hire any hacker or a gangster person anonymously.This internet space is called Dark Web.

What is the difference between the deep web and dark web?

Don't get confused, all of the dark web is "deep web", but not all of the deep web is not illegal[will explain it later].In simple terms, collection of onion content is the dark web [also a deep web] and dark web is just a part of the deep web.  :-)

What  is onion network?

Onion network is an anonymous , decentralised network which can be accessed using tor browser. Onion network is not controlled or regulated by a government. It doesn't have .com/.net/.org type of URLs and instead the contents were provided with .onion extension. So, every content on the onion network and a content with .onion extension is considered as a deep web content.
